Trial of Tidal Harvester TH2 is a Success
A prototype tidal energy generator, the first of it’s kind, has been built by Paul Harper of Small & Co for 4NRG.

They hope to use the full sized 30 metre prototype, made from a completely new design, in the North Sea to generate power for homes, and with some modifications, make it part of a river flood defence as well.
The prototype TH2 was lowered into the river at Lowestoft and towed behind a tug to imitate the tidal flow of water, over the blades, to test how much power a 30 meter full scale unit could generate.
The trial proved a resounding success.
