Small and Company was formed and regenerated in 1993 by two local, time served engineers, with a combined working experience of 40 years in the marine repair industry. Paul Harper and Paul Kirby had already built up a successful repair company with an excellent reputation for marine repairs and conversion to all types of vessels. When the opportunity arose to gain access to the dry dock in Lowestoft it appeared to be the next natural step in the expansion of their business, in what was, at the time almost 10 years of independent marine repair.

Small and Company Marine and Engineering Limited are operators of the Lowestoft Dry Dock which measures 76.5 meters by 14.5 meters. Capable of housing ships with a maximum draft of 4.5 meters with appropriate tidal conditions.
