Small and Company Marine and Engineering Limited are operators of the Lowestoft Dry Dock which measures 76.5 meters by 14.5 meters. Lowestoft Dry Dock is capable of housing ships with a maximum draft of 4.5 meters with the appropriate tidal conditions. Having this capacity means Small & Co are one of the leading provider of Dry Docking Services, Ship Repairs and Major Ship Conversions in the UK.

Small & Co are one of the few ship and dry dock operators with a quality approval to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 the quality body is BVQI. Although we are mainly a commercial yard with customers in the offshore, port towage, harbour operators sectors, as well as coastal and general cargo vessel owners, we recognize the needs of our clients to provide a diverse and flexible service. This is evident in the host of Float Repairs and 24/7 emergency services we provide each year.

Lowestoft is soon becoming the East of England’s central location for the booming renewable energy sector, and Small & Co have been at the forefront of this energy revolution and have already completed many successful contracts in the renewable energy industry including the involvement in the construction of one of the UK’s newest wave energy machines.
